Adequate parenting

Parents who are conditioned by the love and acceptance of their children are often influenced by how they are judged by others because they think their children are a continuation of themselves.

When their children do well, they feel they have done well.
Alternatively, some perfectionist parents also stop encouraging their children for fear of being overwhelmed with encouragement, but on the other hand, when their children are not doing well, they will feel it deeply.
